From the “Big Apple,” New York City, it is with
distinct honor that we cordially invite all daughters and sons of Lofa
County and well wishers to attend the FLAA Nineteenth Annual
Convention, scheduled for May 22 - 24, 2009 on Staten Island, New York.
All Lofans are highly encouraged to participate through presentations
and forum-oriented discussions of issues vital to the socioeconomic
empowerment of the people of Lofa County.

What games will be played at the convention?
50/50 raffle and
wine tasting
events will be held. At the meet and greet function, food will be
provided free of charge, but drinks will be sold to raise funds in
augmenting the costs of the convention as indicated in the budget.

Will drinks be free of charge at the convention deliberations?
NO
Drinks except
water will be
sold at the convention deliberations and banquet to members and guests
at reasonable cost. Please note that the organizing committee will be
working closely with the National Treasurer and members of the Finance
Committee to ensure proper accountability of beverage sales at the
convention.
